We purchase banana pens in bulk to recognize staff for being the “best of the bunch.” Any good idea, best practice or stepping up on the job is noted, and the employee receives the banana pen with their name and “Best of the Bunch” on it. The pens let employees know they are appreciated and that we listen to their ideas. They are cheap to purchase, but when staff members receive one, they treat it like gold.
