Slash waste by letting diners serve themselves

We have students serve themselves with vegetables, fruits, grains and all plant-based foods, but our staff serves animal protein to control volume and reduce waste. Students can go back for more, but so far, this has been an effective way to cut food waste. self-serve cafeteria
