The district participated in Maryland Homegrown School Lunch Week from Sept. 19-23 with a menu showcasing cherry tomatoes, watermelon, peaches, apples and romaine lettuce from local farms. Through a partnership with Maryland Food Bank, the district also operates a food pantry program to help curb food insecurity among low-income families.
