A cool alternative to traditional dips, this one features Tabasco sauce, Ricotta cheese, red pepper, green onion and diced mushrooms.
2 tbsp. butter
½ lb. diced mushrooms
6 loaves pita bread
2 tbsp. olive oil
¾ tsp. salt
2 tsp. granulated garlic
2 tbsp. minced red pepper
2 tbsp. chopped green onion
2 tbsp. Original Tabasco Brand Pepper Sauce
2/3 cup whole-milk Ricotta cheese
3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
8 oz. cream cheese
1. Heat butter in saucepan and saute mushrooms until dry. When done, cool.
2. Cut pita bread into eight wedges per loaf. Place on pan and toast at 425°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
3. Combine all ingredients, except pita bread, and mix well. Serve in serving bowl with toasted pita wedges.
