Va. district invites parents to sample lunch

Arlington Public Schools recently had students’ parents taste cafeteria food to get a feel for what their kids eat on a daily basis, according to WTOP.com.

“We’re having parents come in and see what a typical day is like in the school cafeteria,” Food Nutrition Services Director Amy Maclosky told WTOP at the event at Washington-Lee High School.

The event was held at Washington-Lee High School and samples included chicken sandwiches, smoothies, sweet potato tots and catfish. Students were invited as well to participate in a pizza taste-test; the winner will be served at all of AP schools for the remainder of the year.
