The USDA has awarded a grant to the Wyoming Department of Education to expand the state’s farm-to-school program, Sweetwater Now reports.
Wyoming will use the $95,607 grant to implement training for school gardens, youth gardening programs and the culinary arts. The grant will also go toward creating partnerships with the University of Wyoming Extension and Cent$ible Nutrition Program to help incorporate high-tunnel gardening into school programs.
