University considers utensil care packages

The University of Connecticut in Storrs is contemplating giving students utensil care packages in a bid to stop silverware theft in the dining halls, The Daily Campus reports.

Some dining halls on campus have turned to plastic utensils while waiting for new shipments of silverware to come in. One hall reported that 275 pieces of silverware have gone missing since it opened this summer.
