The nutrition team at Will C Wood High School in Vacaville, Calif., has partnered with Top Chef contestant Tu David Phu to prepare special dishes for lunch for a week, according to The Reporter.

Phu worked with nutrition staff to prepare a variety of Vietnamese and Korean dishes, including California rolls, gimbal rolls, lemongrass chicken wings, bibimbap and Korean barbecue pork with lo mein noodles.

The chef also took some time to speak to culinary students at the high school.

Other schools throughout the country have recently partnered with commercial chefs to expand their menu options. Montgomery Public Schools in Rockville, Md., teamed up with restaurant chain Silver Diner to introduce new plant-based dishes to the menu, and Chartwells K12 also worked with celebrity chefs to create recipes for its new Global Eats program rolling out to schools this fall.
