Pueblo School District 70 in Pueblo, Colo., has installed four solar greenhouses that will provide produce for the district’s nutrition program as well as learning opportunities for students, KOAA News 5 reports.

The district plans to use the greenhouses to grow lettuce, legumes, carrots, radishes and more. The produce will then be transported to school cafeterias for use by the nutrition team.

School officials hope that the greenhouses will produce around 25 to 50 pounds of produce each week.

Teachers will also be able to use the greenhouses for classes ,and students will have the opportunity to work in the greenhouses after school.
