Washoe County School District in Reno, Nev., is expanding its central kitchen this coming school year, KTVN reports.
The $10 million project is currently in phase one, which will add room for offices and dry storage. In phase two, workers will add production and refrigerator space, a new loading dock for deliveries and new kitchen equipment.
School officials expect the facility to be complete by the 2019-20 school year. Once finished, it will have expanded to 22,000 square feet.
Officials say the kitchen has needed to be expanded since 2015.
