Eight out of 10 operators market their healthful menu items, according to The Big Picture. The No. 1 promotion of these better-for-you options is call outs on menus/menu boards. Colleges are significantly more likely than other market segments to use social media to promote healthful menu items. Nursing homes/senior living operations are significantly less likely than other segments to market their healthful options, with only 39% of operators doing this.
