Kiosks and tablet ordering coming to UVA dining hall

The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., is renovating one of its dining halls to include a tech-based ordering system, The Cavalier Daily reports.

Due to open in August, The Castle will enable students to place orders via kiosk and from a tablet included at each table.

Along with its tech amenities, the new space will feature an open layout as well as indoor and outdoor seating.

The dining hall is also switching from comfort food to a new plant-based menu. Officials say the change is a response to student demand for healthy, customizable options.
