Hospital creates heart-healthy video series for community members

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital has used a state grant to create the series, which highlights heart-healthy recipes and more.

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, Va., has launched a heart-healthy video series to help community members stay healthy and reduce their risk of heart disease.

The series includes one introductory video and six educational videos that cover topics such as minimally processed foods, sodium, added sugars and more. Each video ends with a recipe and a cooking demo related to the chosen topic.

The videos are hosted by the hospital’s foodservice manager and patient coordinator, and are funded through a grant from the state’s Department of Health.
