Groton Public Schools in Mystic, Conn., is converting its annual farm-to-school community dinner into a virtual event due to COVID-19, The Day reports.

The district traditionally hosts an in-person farm-to-school dinner at its high school each fall. This year, however, guests will preorder their meals online and pick them up at the high school to enjoy at home.

Dishes will be made with ingredients sourced from two local farms. Diners have an entree option of roast turkey with sage stuffing or butternut squash ravioli for $8. The meals also include a garden salad, roasted root vegetables, mashed potatoes, a fresh-baked roll with butter and warm apple crisp for dessert. Apple-butternut bisque soup and pumpkin cheesecake are also available as add-ons.

Proceeds from the dinner will support the district’s greenhouse.
