Patient experience is the backbone of the hospital, according to Aramark Healthcare+, which says an improved experience can influence patients' satisfaction, decrease their length of stay, reduce readmission and improve nursing satisfaction.

To better the patient experience in the hospitals it serves, Aramark's healthcare arm has teamed up with Healthcare Plus Solutions Group (HPSG) to launch a new patient-focused initiative.

“We are committed to building a world class patient experience organization to improve hospital outcomes,” said Bart Kaericher, president and CEO of Aramark Healthcare+. “This partnership gives us the added expertise, resources and structure to support the development of our front-line staff as part of the patient care team.”

Under the partnership, HPSG will develop coaching and training to build patient interaction skills, and will work with Aramark Healthcare+ to create a “leadership development institute” with the goal of connecting caregivers and patients.

“We are excited to bring new capabilities to [Aramark's] front-line teams of food, facility services and transport associates so that they can have a greater impact on those that receive care and those hospital partners they work with that provide care,” said Quint Studer, cofounder of  HPSG.
