Students at Al Seeliger Elementary School in Carson City, Nev., got to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with local law enforcement and first responders this week during its Thanksgiving with a Hero event, Carson Now reports.
Members of the local fire department and sheriff's department along with school resource officers served students a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
School officials say that the goal of the event was to allow students to connect with first responders in a casual and safe setting.
