The start of a new calendar year brings a fresh batch of ways to engage diners. Here are four events to consider offering this month.
New Year’s resolutions (early Jan.)
Operators can help guests stay on track with their healthy eating resolutions. Last January, James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., encouraged students to start the new year off on the right foot by offering tips and events throughout the month focused on how to maintain healthy eating goals.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 21)
Take a moment to honor and celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. on this day. As part of its weeklong celebration last year, the University of Notre Dame invited students and other members of the community to a candlelight prayer service on campus, followed by a complimentary late-night breakfast at one of its dining halls.
