$15 million senior-living project will bring a coffee bar and restaurant-style dining to residents

Oxford Senior Living plans to construct a $15 million assisted living and memory care facility in McKinney, Texas.

Construction is starting this week. The project is modeled after the Oxford Grand in Wichita. Construction on the Texas Oxford Grand Assisted Living & Memory Care building is expected to be completed in September 2016.

The 70,000-square-foot senior living community will include 51 assisted living apartments and 22 memory care suites for people with Alzheimer's and dementia. A coffee bar, restaurant-style dining and a fitness center will be among the amenities offered at the Oxford Grand.

Wichita-based Oxford Senior Living is partnering with CBC Real Estate Group to develop the facility.

Crossland Construction Co. Inc. is the general contractor. LK Architecture is the architect.
