Burlington School District in Burlington, Vt., has partnered with two local chefs to raise money for its farm-to-school program, Seven Days reports.
Earlier this week, the chefs were invited to come in and serve lunch to students at two schools in the district.
Later this month, the chefs will host Love School Lunch, a cafeteria-inspired meal, at one of the chefs’ restaurants, featuring items such as meatballs and slices of cake. Proceeds from the event will go toward the district's farm-to-school program, which funds the district’s breakfast, lunch and dinner school meals.
