This month in foodd trends, sports complexes began to reopen with new safety protocols and noncommercial operators delved into meal kits.

In these unprecedented times, meal kits have taken on important new roles: a way to serve your customers in a virtual/grab-and-go world; convenience during changing routines; a source of fun (hello, family pizza night!); and more seriously, a lifeline of good nutrition for kids, seniors and everyone in between.

Boxes and bags loaded up with good nutrition, convenient heat-and-eat items, fresh produce, treats and more: meal kits are a great way to serve your customers in these crazy times.

How Centerplate/Sodexo sports food division kicked off the new safety protocols at NFL stadiums with streamlined menus, mobile ordering, social distancing, pre-packaged food and more. Both Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium and Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium will be allowing fans to watch games. Both venues’ foodservice is managed by Centerplate/Sodexo Sports & Leisure North America, and the dining team is making the first plays into a very different season.
