Share the news in conversations and at the next staff meeting. “Whether or not you’re a data person, everyone connects to a story,” says Randy Lait, North Carolina State University’s senior director of hospitality services.
One highlight from NC State: Using the recipe management system, the staff was able to create 38 additional gluten-free menu items simply by switching to gluten-free barbecue sauce. “With the press of a button, we came up with an instant solution that cost us only $600 over a year,” Lait says. “Everyone can understand that story.”
