Huntsville City Schools in Huntsville, Ala., is adding healthy vending machines to its high schools this school year, WHNT reports.
The vending machines will provide grab-and-go options for breakfast, lunch and supper, and will serve dishes such as grilled chicken salad, parfaits and smoothies.
Students will have access to the machines once per mealtime and will receive their meals by entering their school ID as well as their birthdate. The machines will recognize those who qualify for free or reduced-price meals.
