A group of vegan and vegetarian students at Loyola Marymount University are petitioning their campus foodservice vendor, Sodexo, for a new food station.
After an Advocacy and Activism class assignment, the students decided to investigate the lack of vegetarian options on campus, as well as find out where the meat Sodexo serves comes from, reports The Los Angeles Loyolan.
The petition, which was launched on Change.org a week before Thanksgiving, now has more than 200 signatures.
Sodexo representatives at LMU told The Loyolan they plan on accommodating the students in the near future.
