Urban School Food Alliance and FoodCorps announce strategic partnership

The Urban School Food Alliance has partnered with nonprofit FoodCorps to improve students’ health and expand access to high-quality school meals.

As part of the partnership, both groups will continue to work separately on daily operations, but will help each other with the strategic development of programming initiatives.

FoodCorps is also helping the Alliance hire its first executive director, who will be responsible for driving growth and organizational development within the nonprofit.

To establish the partnership, Eric Goldstein, chairman of the Alliance and chief executive of the Office of School Support Services for the New York City Department of Education, has joined FoodCorps’ board of directors. Cecily Upton, FoodCorps co-founder and senior vice president, has joined the Alliance’s advisory board
