The nutrition team at Baldwin County School District in Milledgeville, Ga., is hosting a symposium with teachers and the community to discuss how to incorporate nutrition education into the daily curriculum, Union Recorder reports.
Members of the USDA, the Georgia Farm Bureau’s agriculture division, Georgia Organics and local farms will be at the symposium to share different ways nutrition can be used in the classroom. School officials are hoping to employ school gardens and other tactics to teach science and math lessons.
