Chicago Public Schools faces backlash over early lunch time
Chicago Public Schools is receiving criticism from parents and students over adding a 9:50 a.m. lunch period at one of its high schools, Block Club Chicago reports.

Officials say the new early lunch period allows more flexibility for electives and that it will help accommodate its larger class sizes. They also suggested that students with early lunch times bring snacks to school.
