Boston high school creates entrees through test-kitchen model

In an effort to stay within its budget and introduce students to healthier foods, Fenway High School has transformed its cafeteria into a test kitchen, reports The Boston Globe.

FHS, in partnership with Project Bread—a nonprofit—will have students taste-test new foods, such as kale and broccoli, before they are added to the menu. Officials say the high school initially spent a lot of money on lunch entrees and ended up losing millions of dollars.

The new meals can also be reproduced at other school cafeterias across the city, according to The Globe.
