Aramark launches an interactive concept for sports venues

Aramark is inviting customers of a new sports-venue restaurant concept to decide what they’ll find on the menu on subsequent visits.

Launch Test Kitchen, which has already been placed in two locations, solicits real-time feedback from patrons. Their input determines what options might be added to the permanent menu and which ones might be dropped.

"With Launch Test Kitchen, we're able to quickly adapt food trends and introduce new items, or showcase local chefs, based on those trends, while making it a very interactive experience for the guest,” Carl Mittleman, president of Aramark’s Sports and Entertainment division, said in a statement.

Each location is equipped with digital signs and menu boards and kitchen equipment that can be used for an array of products, according to Aramark. The design enables the outlet to quickly revamp its menu in accordance with customers feedback.

The input will also help Aramark identify local chefs whose products might be featured at Launch Test Kitchen. For instance, a demonstrated preference for artisan pizza could prompt an invitation for a showcase visit by the chef of a locally known pizzeria.

Launch Test Kitchen can currently be found in the Las Vegas Convention Center and Cleveland Cavaliers Quicken Loans Arena. The foodservice vendor plans to implement the concept at other locations in its portfolio in the future.
