Aramark has signed up two new health system clients and expanded its relationship with two others.
The Philadelphia-based foodservice company announced Tuesday that the two new contracts are with Tennessee-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Kennedy Health in New Jersey.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
At VUMC, the foodservice provider will provide its health care technology management program involving biomedical, laboratory and diagnostic imaging equipment.
For Kennedy Health, Aramark will provide both patient and retail food services at three hospital locations. The Aramark room service model will be incorporated so that patients can order cooked-to-order meals from a full menu throughout the day. It will also incorporate Aramark's Healthy for Life program, which is designed to promote healthier food options.
Additionally, Aramark is expanding the services provided to its longest running healthcare client (since 1955) Thomas Jefferson University Health System in Philadelphia. New services include patient/food transportation and linen distribution services at Methodist Hospital, as well as the Health System's Center City Campus and Hospital for Neuroscience.
At Einstein Healthcare Network, also in Philadelphia, the foodservice provider has added clinical technology management and will also provide visitors and staff with grab-and-go foods all day with its new Vibe Micromarkets.
