I wanted to do something special for my employees. The TV show “Queen for the Day” came to mind, so we made that into an appreciation program. The first employee honored was our made-to-order sub employee, so we named her queen of the subs. We gave her a crown, refreshments and surprised her with a visit from her family. For once, I felt they knew they were appreciated.
