We now serve summer meals on buses. Last summer we used four buses. We drive around high-need areas, especially in rural areas because it’s harder to get kids to congregate in a common place. We pick the kids up and drive around and they get to eat in the air conditioning. Two foodservice employees pass out the meals once the kids are seated on the bus.
