An architectural trend that marks Detroit’s urban comeback is the repurposing of old buildings. There’s more to it than that, though. New restaurants, bars, office spaces and shops that occupy historic space often tip the hat to that building’s history through design and branding. The Press Room Café and Market is one example, a Eurest-run onsite café housed inside the former building of the Detroit Free Press, a newspaper that still exists, but at a different location.
