Comcast-Spectacor has announced that will be offering all-you-can-eat ticket packages to all 2007-08 season home games of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association. Similar ticket packages will also be offered for other events at Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center arena, including concerts, family shows and other sporting attractions (Comcast-Spectacor owns the Wachovia Center as well as the Flyers and 76ers). Originally developed by the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball last season, an all-you-can-eat program involves selling tickets to seats in certain difficult-to-sell sections of ballparks and arenas with a flat surcharge that entitles the ticket holder to unlimited amounts of specific food and beverage concessions choices during the duration of the game. In addition to the Dodgers, the Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Royals have offered similar promotions during the current baseball season.
