Students at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee are finding a bit of an upgrade on campus after a 2021 renovation project brought a more modern feel to its Residence Dining Hall.
In addition to new serveries with under-counter refrigeration, the eatery is sporting new floors, digital signage, countertops and equipment, according to a press release.
Focal points of the updated space include a hydroponic system growing fresh herbs, a revamped version of its LiveWell station and a new concept dubbed Bravo that’s centered around exhibition cooking.
“The objective of the remodel was a refresh and update to the existing dining program that would make for optimum efficiency and more choices,” Jeffrey Kwolek, general manager for Metz Culinary Management, which oversees dining at the university. “The mix of large and small communal tables, comfortable booths, as well as a private back area that closes with sliding doors, is ideal for everyone from a small group of students enjoying lunch to a large sports team meal or even a faculty meeting.”
