When the majority of your clientele is from a country other than the United States, you better make sure you offer a variety of world cuisines—and do it right. In the eight buildings that make up the World Bank in Washington, D.C., there are 10,000 employees—most of whom are not US-born. For Restaurant Associates (RA), which operates foodservice in five of the buildings (it provides catering for all eight), that means authenticity is key. One way RA achieves that is by hiring a diverse workforce: 85 percent of RA’s employees are foreign-born.
