University food truck ranges beyond campus

The Pony Express food truck at Murray State isn’t limited to university grounds. It can be seen traveling to apartment complexes, neighborhoods and campus villages.

We recently discovered the holy grail of State College food porn: @psueeeats. This Instagram account has an impressive and growing following with over 2,000 followers and for good reason. The account takes submissions to post onto its feed, and it’s absolutely fantastic.

College and university foodservice operations continue to be the drivers of social media strategy.

Students' photos of grotesque mystery meats and mush served up as school lunches are making waves on Twitter thanks to their shared hashtag: #ThanksMichelleObama.

Forget lukewarm meatloaf and limp salads. These days, college dining halls are serving high-quality, inventive food, much to students' delight.

About two years ago, a Boston University (BU) student who was studying abroad tweeted that she missed the cookies from one of our dining halls.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve the dining experience on a limited budget. For three or four years, I wanted to paint a mural on the wall of our cafeteria space, but budgets didn’t allow for it.

We held a contest on Twitter at the end of the fall 2013 semester to raise awareness and sales at our coffee shop locations.

I am so ready to be over this snowy, frigid winter. Fortunately, I get a bit of a respite this weekend, when I travel to Charlotte, N.C., where the daytime temperatures are expected to be in the 60s.
