Reopening Cultivate, a student-run gastropub here on campus. Last summer, we changed our service model from full service to fine-fast to combat labor issues and high ticket times.

My first major project with the CMSD nutrition team was to write technical specifications for an RFP for a menu management system, which would become the groundwork for a cloud-based software solution for the entirety of our school nutrition operation.

All of my life, public speaking has been my biggest fear. Starting this job, I was given the monumental task of allergy training every member of the dining staff.

I have been volunteering with the Foodbank of Santa Barbara’s Teens Love Cooking program.

We hired a videographer for my marketing department, and we have really been pushing the needle on video content.

We established student focus groups, where members of our menu operations team and myself meet with small groups of students across grade levels to gain feedback on new menu items.

I authored a grant and received funding to purchase a blender bike for our school district, which is used as the focal point in a nutrition class that I helped develop.

Being selected to take part in Sodexo’s International Chefs Program. Most of the chefs in my company for the program were executive chefs, so it was an honor to be selected.
