Operators say bottled water is the beverage category that has the highest growth potential in the next two years, with 22% of respondents to The Big Picture research pegging this category to increase in sales.
There were differences among markets. Not surprisingly, colleges and B&I locations—along with LTC/senior living—were the least likely to cite this as an area of growth. Many of these locations have started bottled water bans on campus to boost their sustainability measures.
