4 cups (about 1 lb.) grated aged Cheddar cheese
1/4 pound (1 stick) butter, softened
1 1/3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 to 2 tbsp. water, if needed
