Seared Steak Satay
This verison of satay features steak strips, Chinese five-spice, peanuts, scallions, soy sauce and Tabasco Garlic Pepper Sauce.
3 lb. steak strips
1⁄2 cup sesame oil
3 tbsp. Tabasco Garlic Pepper Sauce
1⁄2 cup soy sauce
1⁄4 cup vinegar
2 tsp. Chinese five-spice
1⁄2 cup chopped peanuts
1⁄2 cup chopped scallions
1 tsp. Tabasco Garlic Pepper Sauce
2 tbsp. sesame oil
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. chopped peanuts
1. Mix all ingredients, except for Dipping Sauce, in bowl.
2. Place in plastic bags, sealing and squeezing out most air. Refrigerate overnight.
3. Mix all Dipping Sauce ingredients in bowl and top with chopped peanuts.
4. For service, skewer and grill to desired temperature. Top with peanuts and scallions. Serve with Dipping Sauce.
