The humble ham-and-cheese sandwich gets an upgrade with black forest ham, Brie, arugula and a turn in the panini press. It’s an easy grilled sandwich to prepare to order, and is often requested at Morrison’s dining venues.
Ingredients
1 tbsp. honey mustard
1 tbsp. apricot preserves
3 oz. thinly sliced Black Forest ham
1 1/2 oz. brie cheese
1/2 oz. arugula
2 slices thick-sliced Texas toast-style bread
Steps
- Preheat panini press. On work surface, place bread. Spread one slice with mustard and the other with apricot preserves.
- Thinly slice Brie and place on slice of bread with mustard; top with ham and arugula, finishing with second bread slice. Press sandwich in panini press until cheese melts and sandwich is warm. Serve immediately.
