This dessert, made with pudding, whipped cream and cookie crumbs, evolved into a tradition in our college dining program. It originated through a Recipes from Home contest, sent in by a mother from New Jersey as her child’s favorite, and it’s been on the menu ever since.

Ingredients

3 1/4 oz. creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookie chunks
2 2/3 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
1 1/3 oz. unsalted butter
3 oz. powdered sugar
2 cups 2% milk
5 1/3 oz. vanilla pudding mix
5 1/3 oz. vanilla extract
1 cup whipped topping

Steps

  1. Put half of cookie chunks in bottom of a serving pan.
  2. Blend cream cheese, butter and sugar. Add milk, pudding, vanilla and whipped topping and blend well.
  3. Pour blended mixture over cookies in pan and top with remaining cookies.
