Connecticut awards over $2.8M in farm-to-school grants
The 53 grants will increase the availability of local foods in schools and more.
Chef demos, farmer visits and more have become commonplace at the district this school year thanks to Director of Food Service Christina Lawson, who focused on growing the district's farm-to-school efforts as part of her capstone for the Chef Ann Foundation’s Healthy School Food Pathway Fellowship program.
