University takes a new route with traditional dining

Purdue Dining and Catering has parked a new dining option on the university’s campus this fall, according to The Exponent.

Students can now use their dining dollars and Boiler Express funds at The Daily Bite, the campus’ new food truck, which features a variety of macaroni and cheese options.

The new food truck can be found at two locations on campus for lunch and dinner, and is to be used as a quicker dining option for students who may not have enough time to eat in overcrowded dining halls.

Recently, a study published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics found that children in schools with shorter lunch periods tend to eat less and throw away more food.
