The garden will supply fresh fruits, herbs and vegetables for the dining hall.

MISSOULA, Mont.—Locally grown food in the University of Montana's dining hall is about to get hyper-local.

UM announced plans Thursday to build a sustainable garden that will supply the dining hall with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs.

Upon conclusion of a ground breaking ceremony, construction crews got right to work on the garden located on the southeast side of the Lommasson Center right outside from the Food Zoo.
