Students shop in school food pantry

Colorado-based North Middle School has partnered with the Care and Share Food Bank in an effort to curb student hunger, wrbl.com has learned.

The food bank will supply the school with 2,000 pounds of food per month to stock their pantry, including fruit, vegetables, proteins and breakfast.

“Kids can come in and they have a little menu and they can choose what they want or what their family would eat and it’s really good for the kids they get to have some control over that,” Heather Biggs, coordinator at Care and Share Food Bank, told the website.
