Sodexo has been named the first-ever recipient of the Partnership for a Healthier America’s partner of the year award.
According to the PHA, the award goes to a partner who demonstrates how it is executing key strategies with and beyond its PHA commitments such as taking an inventive approach to ending childhood obesity.
The foodservice provider has exceeded several target goals it announced in 2014, including offering healthier vending options and serving an additional 17 million free breakfasts in elementary and high schools, according to a third-party assessment cited by the PHA.
