School won’t reopen cafeteria where students were shot

MARYSVILLE, Wash. — A high school in Washington state won't reopen the cafeteria where a student fatally shot four friends and wounded another before killing himself last October.

The Daily Herald reports  that the school board of Marysville-Pilchuck High School is following wishes expressed at a December forum and in a recent survey.

Since 15-year-old Jaylen Fryberg opened fire Oct. 24, students have been eating lunch in the gym.
