San Francisco law would allow food trucks on hospital, college campuses
Current city code bans trucks from campuses like San Francisco State University.
Colleges and hospitals in San Francisco would be allowed to have food trucks on their campuses under legislation being introduced at today's Board of Supervisors meeting.
The proposal by Supervisor Scott Wiener would alter the city's planning code, which prohibits food trucks on such campuses if they are outside of commercial districts.
Under the current law, San Francisco State University and Kaiser Permanente Medical Center are not allowed to have food trucks on their property.
