Policy changes after cafeteria amasses $51,000 in debt

Students no longer allowed to charge lunch in the cafeteria.

Feb. 15—Officials with Metro Nashville Schools are changing the cafeteria charge policy after racking up more than $51,000 in lunch debt.

Students who charge meals and then fail to pay are the culprits in creating this debt, officials said. As of February 20, 2012 high school students will no longer be allowed to charge meals in the school cafeteria.
